This came about after the transition of Prof. Mark Lere on the 27th of June, 2017. The late professor had on many occasions and as a lifestyle maintained a sense of care and concern to those in need and support to missionaries. In January 2017, he planned with the wife to have a Trust Fund to care for orphans, widows, indigene, other needy persons and missionary on a larger scale. He could not achieve much of his wish as he soon had some health challenges in April that year and later passed on in June that same year. While in the hospital, Prof Lere shared with his family members how God took him to heaven and was commended for his sacrificial giving but was asked to go back to the world to continue preaching the gospel to the unsaved as his time was not yet over.
